Hello, I'm Marty Embry and welcome to my website. This website was created for the
sole purpose of displaying and selling my art work. What a wonderful concept...ART! I am amazed that I actually
created the pieces on this web site! I absolutely love art...any art and all art! I don't have a favorite
period nor do I have a favorite artist. I'm greedy and I simply enjoy it all. Art transports me to another time
and place as I try to visualize how and what the true masters were thinking of as they created their master pieces.
I played basketball at DePaul University and it was there that my love of art was truly born. Chicago
is a virtual endless zone of wonderful, beautiful and exciting art and architecture. I would often walk from campus
to Lake Michigan and take out my charcoal and pad and simply become lost in my own little world of art.
.
After graduating from DePaul, I packed my bag and went to Europe. I played professional
basketball in Europe for 13 years. It was Europe that I honed my skills as an artist and chef. When you think
about it, a great chef could easily make a great artist. Conversely, a great artist should make a great chef!
They both create visually enticing pieces, whether it's on a plate or on a canvas. I happen to have an incredible thirst,
love, lust and desire for both.
.
Take your time to enjoy my art because I certainly enjoyed creating it all. It is simple, thought provoking, beautiful
and inexpensive. You'll find yourself mesmerized by a few of the pieces. Hopefully, you are going to fall in love
with art just as I did.
I sincerely hope that you enjoy it as much as
I have enjoyed creating it. I can think of 110 reasons why you will enjoy my art, but will give you
only one reason right now. It really is some wonderful art and I love it! Well, technically that's
two reasons, but you get the picture!
I will be updating this new site often. So please don't be a stranger and visit often. I'll
have specials from time to time as well, but you have to visit my site to get the special.
Again,
thank you for visiting and please feel free to leave comments. This site is dedicated to my high school art teacher,
Mr. Gleason. Why? He wanted me to take his independent art class because he saw a simple doodle. He
then asked me to draw and paint a Lynx. After that, he made me promise to share a gift that I didn't even know that
I had. That's a true teacher!
My prints are affordable to everyone. They
all start at $75 for the signed prints. For a signed and numbered print, the current price is $250. I release a very
limited number of signed and numbered prints. I limit the number to 25. Once I reached number 15, the price then
increased to $250. The limited Edition Artist Proofs (LEAP's) begin at $275. I only will sell 20 Limited
Edition Artist proofs of each print. However, some LEAP's are no longer available. Please inquire before you purchase
and check for availability. When I sell 10 LEAP's of a print, the price of that print will then increase to $350.
Once they are sold...no more will be created.
.
I really appreciate you stopping by. In the
coming weeks, I'll will be unveiling new prints for your enjoyment. In the meantime, please feel free to contact me at
any time.
